Meet Holly

The first call is with her. Nobody else has to know.

Holly Mattson has spent three decades in this business — long enough to know that the best recruiting conversation is an honest one, not a loud one. And true to core value #5, she responds fast — personally, not through a sequence.

I'm not looking to move. I'm just… curious.
Curious is exactly where every good conversation starts. And curious stays between us.
Holly replies fast. And keeps it between you.
Holly Mattson, President of Recruiting

President of Recruiting

Thirty years in. Still picks up the phone herself.

Thirty-two years in the mortgage business will teach you two things: which promises hold up, and which ones were just recruiting pitches. Holly has spent her career on both sides of that lesson — from her start at Regions Bank, through production leadership at MortgageAmerica, to more than a decade at Fairway — and it’s why her approach to recruiting looks nothing like the industry default.

In her eleven years at Fairway, Holly has led from nearly every seat that touches growth: VP of TPO Production, VP of Branch Business Development, SVP of Sales and Recruiting, and now the executive leading Fairway’s national recruiting effort. She knows the platform because she helped build the teams that run it. And the numbers back up her approach: last year alone, 174 loan originators returned to Fairway after stints at other companies — people who left, saw the alternatives, and came back.

What she brings to every conversation is the full weight of the platform behind her — the tech stack, the AI layer, the in-house marketing engine, and an employee-owned culture recognized six years running as a USA TODAY Top Workplace. What she never brings is pressure. Nobody at your current company will know you talked. No mailing lists, no follow-up campaigns, no surprises.

How it works

A conversation, not a campaign.

01Reach out, quietly

Email or DM. Holly responds personally — not an assistant, not a sequence. Nobody is notified, nothing is logged in a CRM campaign.

02Talk it through, honestly

Your production, your market, your ceiling where you are. Holly will tell you plainly whether Fairway moves the needle for you — and if it doesn’t, she’ll say so.

03Decide on your timeline

No expiring offers, no pressure clock. Some conversations turn into a move in weeks; some stay warm for years. Both are fine.

Prefer to stay in the crowd a little longer? Join a Virtual Fairway Day — cameras off, questions welcome, and Holly's usually there.

Reverse mortgages aren’t a footnote here — they’re a division with a president, its own processing centers, and a referral program that pays forward LOs. Flip the site over and see it.
